Oh, man... I didn't know it was going on hiatus until March. That stinks! I do like the back to back idea with LOST, though. Must See TV at it's finest.
I didn't know Hank had been canceled, either. I've been watching it because I love Kelsey Grammer, but it's just ok. It has it's funny moments, but the wife gets on my nerves and Kelsey deserves a better written show. lol
I love The Middle. That show cracks me up. I've watched Modern Family and Cougar whatever too, but The Middle is the funniest, IMO. I don't get the hype over Modern Family. It should be named Dysfunctional Family.

Re: What are you watching this Fall?
Networks are cleaning house this week, FOX has canceled Dollhouse.
Yes, V only filmed 4 episodes. It was all part of the original plan. It has a massive cliffhanger at the end apparently. They don't even start filming again til January so there's no chance of bumping it up(and besides, I doubt ABC will waste new episodes of many shows against the Olympics other than ones canceled and being burned off, it looks like even Lost will premiere in January then break for the Olympics).

'Wipeout' contestant dies after show stunt
By Andrea Reiher
November 12, 2009 9:34 AM
Tom Sparks, 33, died Nov. 5 following an appearance for a taping of ABC's "Wipeout" where he suffered a stroke.
According to The Wrap, Sparks was participating in the show's Japanese game show-style obstacle course when he began complaining of knee pain and shortness of breath. The producers told him to stop competing and he was taken to a nearby hospital. Spark was eventually transferred to Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where he underwent several brain surgeries.
However, Sparks' father Bill has told friends and family that Tom suffered from APS, or antiphospholipid antibody syndrome, a disease that causes unnatural clotting of the blood, which may explain the stroke and brain surgeries. APS is not something that would come up in a routine physical, such as one you would undergo to appear on "Wipeout."
The family has asked for donations to be made to the APS Foundation of America in lieu of flowers.

By Rick Porter
November 18, 2009 8:54 AM
Fast National ratings for Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009
The top of Tuesday's ratings looked pretty much the same -- CBS cruised to a win. Farther down the list, though, ABC's "V" slipped again and Heather Locklear's first "Melrose Place" appearance didn't do much to boost the show.
(The CW does note that "Melrose Place" drew its biggest audience since Oct. 6, but not by much. Tuesday's show drew 1.54 million viewers, 158,000 more than last week and just 45,000 more than two weeks ago.)
CBS easily won the night with 15.9 million viewers and a 10.0 rating/16 share in households. ABC (10.9 million, 7.0/11) came in second. NBC (8.3 million, 4.8/8) finished third, while FOX grabbed fourth with 6 million viewers and a 3.8/6. The CW (1.8 million, 1.3/2) was in the back of the pack.
CBS also snagged the top spot among adults 18-49 with a 3.4 rating. NBC's 3.0 was good for second, beating out the 2.7 for ABC and 2.4 for FOX. The CW could only muster a 0.9.
Tuesday's hourly results:
8 p.m.
CBS: "NCIS" (20.2 million viewers, 12.3/19 households)
NBC: Special - "Merry Madagascar" (9.3 million, 5.0/8)
ABC: "V" (9.26 million, 6.0/9)
FOX: "So You Think You Can Dance" (6.5 million, 4.2/6)
The CW: "90210" (2.1 million, 1.5/2)
18-49 leader: "NCIS" (4.1)
9 p.m.
ABC: "Dancing with the Stars" (15.9 million, 10.2/16)
CBS: "NCIS: Los Angeles" (14.8 million, 9.3/14)
NBC: "The Biggest Loser" (9.5 million, 5.5/8)
FOX: "So You Think You Can Dance" (5.4 million, 3.5/5)
The CW: "Melrose Place" (1.54 million, 1.1/2)
18-49 leader: "The Biggest Loser" (3.7)
10 p.m.
CBS: "The Good Wife" (12.7 million, 8.4/15)

This Just In: Lost Season Six Gets a Premiere Date
Today 1:55 PM PST by Jennifer Godwin
Lost, Season 6, Poster ABC
• Lost: According to ABC, Lost season six will premiere Feb. 2 at 9 p.m., which means Tuesday is now Lost day. ABC also confirms that Nestor Carbonell's Richard Alpert, Ken Leung's Miles and Zuleikha Robinson's Ilana have all been upped to series regular status (we hear that Ilana has close personal ties to the Island); Emilie de Ravin is back full-time as Claire; and that Henry Ian Cusick's Desmond is not a season-six regular, although he'll no doubt appear as a heavily featured recurring character. In other Lost news, a little birdie tells us exclusively that the Lost season five DVD/Blu-ray packaging has hieroglyphics hidden within the cover art that offer additional clues to the nature of season six. (The hieroglyphics are not included in the promo artwork released so far.) The DVDs are due out Dec. 8, so make sure your local Egyptologist is on call that day!
• Grey's Anatomy: Seattle Grace gets into the webisode business tonight with the launch of the Grey's Anatomy series On Call, running on ABC.com through Jan. 21. Set at Joe's bar, the six-installment series will focus on the undercurrent of intern drama we've seen over the past couple of years. Other featured characters include Steve Bailey as good ol' Joe the bartender and Nora Zehetner as Dr. Reed Adamson.
Does Tuesday as Lost day work for you guys? And will you watch On Call to see what's up with the preggo intern on Grey's?

EXCLUSIVE: "Fringe" TO GET SEVEN WEEK HIATUS
By Brian Ford Sullivan (TFC)
LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX will give "Fringe" a break when its midseason schedule rolls out next year, sources have confirmed to the site exclusively.
While exact dates are still being finalized, the seven week hiatus is expected to begin on February 11. In its place, FOX plans to launch the midseason drama "Past Life."
It's believed the newcomer will bow with back-to-back episodes on February 11 while the remaining installments will fill the Thursday, 9:00/8:00c hour for five of the next six weeks. (A Thursday edition of "American Idol" will bump the series the other week.)
"Fringe" would then return on April 1 with the remaining seven episodes of its second season. It's understood the hiatus is designed to ensure the series will run repeat free in 2010.
As for "Past Life," FOX announced at its upfront back in May the series would follow "American Idol" on Tuesday nights. The network subsequently rolled back the show's 13-episode commitment to seven episodes, making the shift to Thursdays not much of a surprise. It's not clear what will be paired with "Idol" on Tuesdays however it most likely won't be scripted programming.
The news comes as FOX gets ready to announce its midseason schedule. Originally pegged to be announced this week, it now appears the network will hold off until after the Thanksgiving holiday.

TV Ratings: ABC, CBS dance, do the splits Tuesday
By Hanh Nguyen
November 25, 2009 9:18 AM
Fast National ratings for Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009
Tuesday night was a ratings race with CBS' crime procedurals coming out on top among households, but ABC's three-hour "Dancing With the Stars" finale snatched away the adult demo mirrorball trophy -- barely. Also good for ABC was "V," which maintained its viewership from the previous week after dipping in the past two weeks.
CBS took the night with 16.6 million viewers and a 10.3 rating/17 share in households, just ahead of ABC's 15.9 million/9.8/16. A far-off third place went to NBC (7.6 million, 4.7/8), followed by FOX (5.4 million, 3.3/5) and then The CW (1 million, 0.7/1).
Among adults 18-49, however, ABC jockeyed for position and pulled ahead with a 3.9 average for the night, edging past CBS' 3.8. NBC had a 2.9, FOX a 2.1 and The CW a 0.5.
Tuesday's hourly results:
8 p.m.
CBS: "NCIS" (20.3 million viewers, 12.3/20 households)
ABC: "V" (9.2 million, 5.6/9)
NBC: "The Biggest Loser" (8.6 million, 5.3/8)
FOX: "So You Think You Can Dance" (5.9 million, 3.7/6)
The CW: "90210" repeat (1.2 million, 0.9/1)
18-49 leader: "NCIS" (4.4)
9 p.m.
ABC: "Dancing with the Stars" (17.86 million, 11.1/17)
CBS: "NCIS: Los Angeles" (17.2 million, 10.4/16)
NBC: "The Biggest Loser" (9.2 million, 5.5/9)
FOX: "So You Think You Can Dance" (4.9 million, 2.9/5)
The CW: "Melrose Place" repeat (816,000, 0.6/1)
