That is what happens when over 50% of the Idol voting pool is 12-16 year olds. Back as early as 2008 they only comprised 39% of the voters.

1) I think that Lee's down to earth/nice guy personality vs. Crystal's more arrogant personality hurt her. Lee seems like a much more likeable person.

2) I thought it was cool that Bret Michaels showed up with Casey. Bret's stoy has been incredible. He's another very likeable person based on how he got along with others on the Celebrity Apprentice.

True... each person is going to have a following. Yet, I am sure the younger fans pushed the show in favor of Lee.

He reminds me of Taylor Hicks.......but, if you remember, I voted for Taylor Hicks too. LOL I'm a softy when it comes to those nice, sweet, teddy bear types. Crystal will do ok and Lee will have the time of his life. I'm glad.

I like Lee, but in my opinion, the wrong person won for the second year in a row. However, there's a lot of non-winners that have been very successful. I think that we will be hearing about Crystal getting a recording contract any day now.

I think besides Carrie Underwood and Maybe Kelly Clarkson the other American Idol non winners have done better

One of the first to come to mind for me. He was 4th place. That was the year Taylor Hicks won, I think. Do you think America got that one right??

Out of all the American Idols, his group ( it is a group like Bon Jovi and Dokken) is the only one I would see on tour. That is it. The lead singer of We Are The Fallen ( three of the five members are former members of Evanescence, without Amy Lee...is she Axl Rose..LOL) is none other Carly Smithson. They sound so much like Evanescence, but hey it is ok. To finish my story, Carly ( who loves Iron Maiden..woo hoo) wanted to sing Run To The Hills on American Idol but:

The best band ever! I actually wanted to do it on "American Idol" as a ballad, but it didn't work out — clearances and stuff. It's such a great song and has a soaring chorus. Plus, I learned about that story in school. But I just love IRON MAIDEN. My dream duet would be singing "Run to the Hills" with Jack Black.

To be fair to Crystal, she seemed more likeable on Larry King last night. Of course, she just broke up with her boyfriend fwiw. I'm confident she and Lee will both do just fine.

I think she will do much better than Lee. He is definitely very good, but imo he doesn't approach her on any level. If she had a "problem" it was that she is too "bohemian" for many out there and not a "cutie" that everyone would vote for.
