Anyway, things are looking better for this one.
I meant I thought 587 was terrorism before anything was known... plane crash+NYC+2 months after 9/11=major red flags.
Yes... Egyptair 990 was a personal suicide mission. I watched a documentary on that one.

It is pretty amazing... given they can hold the most people(behind the 747 and the soon-to-be A380)

Agreed.
If the A-380 ever crashes, it'll be a catastrophe unlike any other.
And agreed...

Some of the configurations can hold up to 600 people I believe(someone correct me if I'm wrong).
I'd love to fly on it though... of course, I still need to fly on a 747, 777, A340 first.

Are there any estimates on how long it would take to evacuate the A-380???

This is the deadliest airline accident BTW... a collision between 2 747's(absolute nightmare)
583 killed in the Canary Islands in 1977.

Well, in order to fly in the US they'll have to meet the FAA's requirements: evacuation of a full aircraft in 90 seconds or less.
WOW... better have a lot of exits.
I do believe they will be flying into the U.S... especially JFK and LAX.
