Crazy Winter Wx for Cincy!

#522 Postby Miss Mary » Sat Apr 23, 2005 6:06 pm

Cincinnati:

Freeze Warning 3 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday morning.

Winter Weather Advisory from 6 p.m. tonight until 2 p.m. Sunday.

Tonight:

Snow and rain showers early this evening...then snow late this evening and overnight. Snow accumulation an inch or less. Colder with lows around 30. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Chance of precipitation 100 percent.

Sunday:

Snow in the morning...then a chance of rain in the afternoon. Snow accumulation an inch or less. Total snow accumulation up to 2 inches. Highs in the mid 40s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of precipitation 100 percent.

Feels like November, not late April. Several neighbors have annuals planted, that will need to covered. Many local stores have annuals outside near front door entrances. As my mother would say - never plant annual before Mother's Day (our safe date up here, past frost). Our furnace has been on all day, I made a big pot of Cincinnati chili.

We had hoped to re-do our deck this weekend. Just pulling off old floor boards, rails and steps. Putting on new composite material. It hasn't stopped raining all day long!

Next......

We once again escaped the worse weather Monday Afternoon. The people of Kennedale, Cedar Hill, and other cities in Southern portions of Dallas and Tarrant counties as well as Johnson, Ellis, and Navarro counties got the worst end of it. A wall cloud was reported in the skies here, but no big threats. At least my hometown got some much needed rain. It'll be Partly Cloudy to Mostly Clear skies for the rest of the week with highs in the mid 70s to uppr 80s.

Palm Beach County, FL:
No lazy afternoon nap in the sun for my day off! :(

Currently steady but relatively gentle rain (badly needed for recent outbreak of brushfires in the area), possible thunderstorms in the afternoon, more rain this evening; high in the low 80's

The latest snow date on record here in Madison is in June, but we are officially about a week past our average last-trace-snowfall date, so it is quite rare!

Looking out of the window it is a beautiful sunny morning. However, it is a Bank Holiday so we'll just see how long it lasts ;). The relative humidity is about 74%, and the temperature is 58.3 degrees (14.6C).
