Shannon, I am glad to hear that U.S. 441 passes through your area, too. :D

U.S. 41 goes from quite a bit west of me (western Florida)... northward, parallel to U.S. 441, of course. :)

Been meaning to reply here before now!!! When I first saw the topic, I thought of smaller State Routes, not Interstates. Near me, Route 52 runs along the Ohio River and goes forever. Anyone live near it (in Indiana or upper Ohio)? North of me Route 32 goes east, to Athens, Ohio. We've traveled that way quite a bit on our drives to Hocking Hills, Ohio. Very nice route to take.

I know someone who just relocated to California from Cincinnati, and she drove Route 66 part of the way. Choosing to skip major interstates, she wanted the slower pace of State Routes.

It is fun to veer off Interstates and onto St. Routes, love it when they go right thru a small town's main downtown area. Now that's America!!! No McDonald's, Cracker Barrels, just your local diner. Barbershop, police station.

Good topic!

I 35 runs from MInn. to Texas. I live 2 miles west of it, up north.

US 25, US 42, US 127, along with I-75 and I-71 run through Florence, so if I had my license I could just hop on the interstate and see several of you all in a few hours.

I checked out US 22. It goes from Cincy all the way to Newark, NJ! That is about 650 miles!

U.S. 1 (as mentioned) goes from the Canadian/Maine border to Key West, Florida. Several others, including U.S. 41 are over 1,000 miles long, too.

Boy oh boy, there a lots of them where I live. Within 1 mile we have Pa Turnpike 76, 8 and 910. Withing 10 miles we have I79, 279, 579, 376, 19, 422, and 228. Within 20 miles we have 22, 30, 60 and I70. (I'm sure I've missed a few) Within 60 miles we have I80 and I81. Needless to say our area is crowded!!!!!! Whew, I'm beat from travelling.  :D

The only way to get to HWY 41 from both my mom's or my dad's....is to hop on HWY 441 and then drive to HWY 41. HWY 441 in the Fox Valley is only about 10 miles long....its reletively young, short, but busy highway. I practically use it everyday!

FYI....for those of you that don't know....HWY 41 starts in Upper Michigan and runs down to Florida!

Karan - US 422 is probably the closest highway to me - only about 5 or 6 miles to the south of me.

About 7 miles to my east is I-476 (aka NE Extension of PA turnpike, or "The Blue Route" if you go further south). I-76 (aka PA turnpike) is about 10 miles to the south of me. And US 202 is about 11 or 12 miles to my east.
