Finnally some good news here in Puerto Rico. However it's only a minuscular drop but anyway the rise of the price of the pump has stopped briefly.Today the price dropped to $2.95 from $2.97.Hopefully this is the start of a trend of downward prices.

Do you suppose with summer and vacations, it will go up again?

That is the tendency because the demand is higher and also because they would change the fuel mixture for environmental reasons. That change has been relaxed for the summer so hopefully we won't be seeing a $1 increase in one month trend again. Hopefully it will come down a bit and then stay level for the summer (due to the vacations, etc.) and then drop again.

I'm still waiting for my "drop" still $2.94 here...and continuing to hold steady...I think it may of dropped a couple of cents...but still isnt enough of a drop to really change our state...

Hey guys....i remeber in 2003 when i was in kansas city the Gas prices were around 1.31/gal.....im only 19 and started driving when i come back to Australia that year i remember it being 78.9 per litre wich is around 299/gal! (3.78 litres - 1 gal) in o4 it dopped to about 69.5 cents per litre 2.64/gal! since 04 its just gone up and up! We have cycles through the week wednesday morning being the cheapest and going up wednesday afternoon...then the cycle starts again! it can be 15 cents a litre cheaper wed morning then wed afternoon (thats 57c per gal)

I just drove past shell and its 129.9 per litre (4.93/gal) but on wednesday it was close to $5.20/gal.....

our tax is 41cents per litre wich is 1.55/gallon.......clearly being ripped off here, it could be worse though UK motorists are paying over $2.00 a litre wich is close to $8 a gallon! There tax is like more then the product cost itself i think, but brits dont have far to drive like us aussies and you americans have to!!

Sorry about all the converstions

The local Riggins is now down to $2.78 from last Saturday's $2.89.

Very interesting - I'm wondering if they are not having as many problems with the supply like was previously reported for my area about a week ago.

Johno and conostoga - thanks for the conversions. We've seen in our newscasts how most of the other countries (except for the oil producing ones) have prices that are MUCH HIGHER than what we pay. I think our main problem is the rate which the prices have soared. If it's a few cents here and a few cents there, that's easier to tolerate than an increase of $.75 to $1.00 per gallon in one month.

Do you guys use LPG in your cars? (liquid propane gas) its the same as you put into your bbq gas bottle! anyway alot of cars here do, most of the filling stations carry it! it advertised on the price signs like normal! ....my car is on it and its 47.9 cents per litre wich is 197/gallon.......for $34 i get about 600km (360miles)

what i wanna know is how much it is there and if its popular! ive asked an american freind and she wasn't to sure, she said something about it being propane diesel or something and that it cost more then unleaded!!

I did a search and there seem to be quite a few sites out there about this. i wonder if the EPA emissions laws are restricting these conversions in the US.... i dont really know.

according to this site, not a true statement. (There's also diesel fuel...)

In USA, 350.000 vehicles use LPG while Canada has 170.000 vehicles using propane.
