From Michael Ausiello

The mystery surrounding the setting of the Grey's Anatomy spin-off has been solved — by me!!

Per one very well-placed mole, the hospital where Addison will accept her new job will be located in (drumroll, please… ) Los Angeles! That's right, Doc Montgomery's going Hollywood!

Which makes perfect sense given what else I know about the top-secret offshoot. Sources confirm that plastic surgery and psychiatry (two L.A. staples) will play as prominent roles in the show as Addison's chosen field of neonatology. In fact, according to a source who read the script for the pilot, er, I mean the "enhanced two-hour Grey's episode with a potential for afterlife," there are multiple scenes set in a shrink's office and another scene involving a pampered Beverly Hills princess contemplating a chemical peel with her hot plastic surgeon (Tim Daly, perhaps?).

Oh, and my spy also points out the show takes advantage of its setting in another way. "There's sex, sex and more sex," whispers my mole. "I thought I was reading an episode of Nip/Tuck!"

OK, just to recap, here's what we currently know about Grey's 2.0:

Who: Kate Walsh, Tim Daly, Taye Diggs, Amy Brenneman, Chris Lowell, Merrin Dungey and Paul Addelstein.

What: Grey's Anatomy spin-off. I mean "enhanced two-hour Grey's episode with a potential for... " Oh, forget it. Grey's spin-off.

Where: Los Angeles.

When: Special two-hour May sweeps episode of Grey's "with potential... " No, I'm just not typing that again.

Why: Mo' money, natch!

This show is going to be MASSIVE! I feel sorry for the shows on the other networks that will face it. :P

Former Friends star Lisa Kudrow has been offered the chance to return to a surefire TV hit after failing to make waves as a struggling actress.

The beloved star, who played Phoebe in the hit sitcom, has been slated to star alongside Kate Walsh in the new Grey's Anatomy spin-off.

Kudrow, whose first post-Friends show, The Comeback, was a flop, lasting only a season, will play a quirky doctor on the new TV drama, according to sources.

The cast is already bigger than Grey's, and Grey's is set in Seattle where there are no beaches. Hmmmm. 8-)

Christina and the professor were together for THREE years?! That's longer than her and Burke have been together!

So Callie is rich?

Interesting episode. Callie is rich, Christina had a relationship with a professor for longer than with burke, Izzy gets it on, hmm

I miss the Grey's Anatomy of Season 1 or Season 2, I'm sorry to say.

I still love the show, but I feel the past few plot lines have been way to Soap Opera-esque and ridiculous. I don't really know what Shonda has been thinking. =\ A bit disappointing in my opinion. I'm still addicted to it though.

As for Kate's spin-off the idea struck me cold, but I'm warming up a bit to it. I'm excited that Lisa might be in it! I was pretty bummed when I found out Chris Lowell was signing on, because that doesn't bode well for Veronica Mars getting picked up for Season 4, it's so underrated =|, but some sources say he won't have a place on VM anyways so my fingers are crossed.

I didn't like the 3-parter that aired last month(ESPECIALLY the last part with the whole mess over Meredith, yawn), but I really liked this past episode(and in general, I have disliked "special" or really hyped episodes). Yeah, it's become a soap opera, but strangely I like it(and I don't watch any daytime soaps).

Apparently the Lisa Kudrow thing was only a rumor and is not true. All the roles have been cast it seems.

and a bit off-topic but I was playing around with some Grey's highlight clips from this past week tonight and finally figured out how to edit them on Windows Movie Maker... yay. Now I have something to do when bored.

The real question now -- did Izzie and George do anything? I mean, we know Meredith and George did. But all we saw was Izzie waking up in bed with George, and looking a little confused about it herself. Would George have broken his vows (yeah, yeah...I know this is just a TV show and it happens ALL the time, but I'm just saying -- it's George!). Or did they just end up passing out drunk in bed together? What will it do to their friendship? And goodness knows what's going to happen with Callie. She's already been ticked at him a few times before.

***PROGRAMMING NOTE***

I just found out that ABC is moving next week's new episode to THIS THURSDAY! So the repeat will now air next week. I hope ABC has some promos ready to air tonight during DWTS.

“My Favorite Mistake” – George meets his new father-in-law (and is no condition to make a good
impression), Alex helps Jane Doe determine how the world will see her from now on, the hospital board
begins interviewing the candidates for the Chief’s position, and Izzie wrestles with a startling revelation,
on “Grey’s Anatomy,” THURSDAY, MARCH 22 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television
Network.

Editors note: This episode replaces “From a Whisper to a Scream,” which moves to 3/29.”My
Favorite Mistake” will repeat Friday, 3/23 (8:00-9:01 p.m., ET).

I didn't really like the three episode arc either. It was well done, but at the risk of being morbid, all of the hype about what happens to Meredith and then she's fine? =\ I didn't want her to die, but I was expecting her to have brain damage or something, just because of how hyped it was. The really hyped episodes of Season 2, ala "It's The End of The World, "As We Know It", and the finale arc I did really love though.

That's a bummer. Oh well, I guess. lol

As for George/Izzie I can't wait to see where that goes. I love both characters, but I hope George and Callie stay together.. I mean Callie O'Malley, come on! Haha.

Finally! A promo.

George apparently doesn't remember, but Izzie fills him in. Later she tells someone "I had sex with the wrong person". Mark tells Addison he hasn't had sex in 8 days which impresses her. There's a brief shot of him shirtless and sweaty doing jump roping(McSteamy is back?). Meredith and Derek have a brief discussion about "theories".
