I am certainly glad to see this place again!! Just wanted to stop by and say hello to familiar faces and say hi to new faces. I am glad Miss Mary finally made me see the light and come over here.

Hey everyone! Just got off work, had a day of almost record-breaking sales, so I am exhausted!!! It is soooooo beautiful outside, I think I have already mentioned like 100 times, but 2 days ago it was cold, and today we had the air conditioning on in my work! Well, I am off to spend some time outside before it gets dark, talk to y'all later! :D

Flirting with HOT!

#247 Postby azskyman » Tue Apr 01, 2003 10:08 pm

Well, it hit 91 here this afternoon. Flirting with HOT. Cooling off nicely tonight, though.

Had a longtime friend from Illinois stop by and take a tour of our plant...then we took an hour for lunch and some catch-up conversations! Good to see him. He attended Kathy and my wedding 32 years ago!

Yet another among my friends, however, who has been battling cancer this past year. I learned that just today.

Said he is winning. Looked like he is winning. But the battle continues.

Nice to see you Lindaloo. Those under this umbrella are friendly indeed.

Evening everyone and thanks for the concern Breeze. Whew...glad to be sitting down for a few minutes. I had a dr's appointment during the noon hour. I had to increase my meds. I have a condition in which my stomach produces to much acid and I have to be medicated to keep from being ill. My meds had not been working well lately since they switched from a diff. kind so they had to up them.

Then...I had to go pick Darla up at the airport. Bless her little heart, she was so tired she is already in bed. I went back over to my parent's house because my oldest sister, in 7th grade, was having problems with her math homework and no one else seems to know it but me.

Ok...I just got finished eating some supper. Hadn't ate a bite since catching some lunch at 11:00 at Boston Market. I had never ate there before. I love their turkey! :)

Anyways...enough about me...glad to see you are enjoying your hammock Breeze, oh, and your chocolate! ;)

Garrett, you sound like me! Running around til your hearts content.

For those of whom are unaware, I found out today, that I received a PAID summer internship in Milwaukee. This is all the information that I have.

Student Satellite Summer Internship

Purpose: The Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium is looking for 4-6 students majoring in a science or engineering discipline from a participating institution (Milwaukee School of Engineering, Marquette University, UW-Milwaukee, UW-Green Bay) to design, build, and test the required tracking hardware for a high-altitude balloon.

Awards: Up to $5000 direct stipend for the period from approximately 1 June to 8 August, 2003. Additional funding is available for living expenses for students not residing in Milwaukee.

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin (host institution at Marquette University or Milwaukee School of Engineering)

Bronni, remember I have Vande Walles Chocolates on the table...they are (in my opinion) much, much better than Godiva chocolates.

Good Morning everyone!

What great news last night!! Jessica is alive.....Praise the Lord!!

I haven't had time to pop on here. My sister and her family came over last night to watch the Houston Astros season opener & just before it started we got the great news about Jessica. Wow! Just wow!
(Btw..the Astros beat the Rockies 10-4) - of course the really BIG news is Jessica's rescue.

Congratulations pojo!!!! :D :D :D

Hey, can I some of that delicious chocolate?

I'm going to go read a few posts while I have a little time.

See everyone around!

Better keep a few trusty blankets out here on the porch... after that wonderful streak of low 50's last week, we are back below freezing and it has snowed for 5 days in a row... and is supposed to keep up through the weekend *sigh*

Garrett - you'd never have guessed it, but I am a certified math teacher, so if you have questions on any of that stuff, just drop me a PM or AIM me (gatoradio).

As for chocolate... yes... is very yummy... we have a local chocolatier about an hour from here called "Lake Champlain Chocolates". About two years ago on Valentines Day, the NY Times did a ranking of the best tasting chocolates... and our little Lake Champlain beat the other places (including Godiva and Ghiradelli) hands down.

Just having been paid, I found myself with a little money after paying the bills... so I've left a couple of tasty bars over there on the sill, should anyone desire a taste... or two... ;)

- gator.

ps - yes... the remanents of the ice castle are still around... despite the warm temperatures last week, there is still a sizable pile of (what used to be hundreds of 300lb) ice blocks from Winter Carnival that took place 2 months ago...

The ice on the lake is almost gone though... you can see channels of water where the lake has "warmed up" the most... so no more traversing this body of water on foot unless there's a miracle! ;)

Happy Hump Day! How's everybody? Trying to recover from 24 hrs of relentless practical jokes? I'm already planning my retaliation for next year.

I'm flying out to New Hampshire tonight (my old stomping grounds) for the church's annual women's retreat. Heck, there won't be a piece of chocolate safe within a 50 mile radius!

gator - You may be elected storm2k math tutor. My 7th grade son's pre-algebra homework gets the deer-in-the-headlights look. If I could hack math, I'd be a REAL met today and not someone who gives unsolicited forecasts to family and friends.

Have a great week guys!

Well its Wednesday here and only two more days to this work week - its been a stressful one for me - too many deadlines and not enough time to achieve them. Weather is stablizing here - warm during the days - in the 70's and 80's and at night time it cools down.

But once again its time to mow the yard. Just to get all thos dang winter weeds out of it. Going to fertilize and do all the stuff this weekend - YIPPEE.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Isobar, If you think pre-alg is bad, then try Calculus...that's 10x worse. There are numbers and some letters in pre-alg...calc is ALL letters! The only numbers that you get is from anti-derivatives and derivatives.

Wind is a blowin here too! Sustained winds are NE 27mph gusting NE 35mph! :o :o :o Dennis, where's those rocks???

Gotta head to work
