In the ultimate of ironies, turns out the wife of Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo -- the man who wanted more jail time for Paris Hilton -- was popped for driving with a suspended license.

The incident occurred in 2005, according to the Los Angeles Times. Michelle Delgadillo's punishment -- a $186 fine.

Delgadillo argues that his wife's driving on a suspended license crime was not DUI-related but still it seems very slimey off him to be arguing for
extensive jail time for Paris when his wife just paid a measly $186 for a similar driving-related crime.

Can't wait to see how much Delgadillo and the judge who some here like to call a "strong judge" get soon for their book deals. This is all about money and greed and abuse of power nothing about giving someone the right sentence for a crime.

Do you people (aside from the open minded Regit) actually care about our country's laws and justice system or do you just want to see someone you don't like have to sit in jail for the fun of it?

So, how many times did she drive on a suspended license?? Once, I bet. Not the THREE times Paris did it.

For the record, I don't dislike Paris Hilton. If anything, I pity her. She is such a useless twit. In fact, I could really care less about her. I find her antics, the press hype, the hand-wringing over "poor" Paris and the machinations of the LA court system amusing and entertaining that's all.

LOL

Allegedly, the reason she was let out the first time around was:

Paris Hilton was so terrified guards would snap a cell-phone picture of her on the toilet that she didn't eat or drink for three days, which left her facing a life-threatening collapse, a source told the Daily News. She also was not taking prescribed medication while in jail, Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca said.

Big Al basically plans to ask the Sheriff why Paris gets special treatment while prisoners of less economic means and of color don't.

I think I heard a picture of Paris in prison was worth a half million dollars. . .

One can only hope she will come out and send a different message to our younger population. She needs to learn that she is a role model to millions (sadly) and she needs to make this an example of how when you break the law, you must suffer the consequences.

Quick Rant:

Why do people pay so much attention to a celebrity who is famous for being famous? Sure, she's wealthy. Sure, she's amusing to watch. But 95% of you have more of a brain than her. Violating her parole... TWICE.

Paris Hilton isn't worthy of my attention.

I agree with you, but that's the world we live in. When Anna Nicole died, for how many weeks was her death and her daughter controversy the main story in the news? Even CNN and FOX and the others almost forgot that we are in a war.

A lot of people find more interesting keeping an eye on all these crazy celebrities than reading a good book or watching a good movie, and that's why the paparazzis make their living.
