Yes indeed. I agree 100%, being alone at the table in that restaurant is a very very good start, Deb.

Look at it this way, you did not give in to the temptation.

Deb - the best of luck on your stop smoking! You have overcome the hardest part in my book and that's making the decision to do it. Take each day and each month and you will conquer it.

Deb......as far as the side effects of the Zyban, they said they had severe nighmares, tossing and turning, heavy night sweats......as you see, most of the side effects are at night.

I know what you mean about being left alone after dinner, I'm the only one in my family who smokes, I'm the one going outside to smoke all by my lonesome, now mind you.....I "like" my piece and quite but not ALL the time.

Sandi.....yes, we do have to have the desire to quite, I don't at this point in time........I should know better, I've got a cousin in Galveston who's a doctor, he's in cancer research, he said if we ever saw the lung of a smoker, you'd NEVER pick one up again PERIOD....with all that said, I "still" don't want to quite!

Dennis so far I'm still on 1 pill a day. Tomorrow I'll try 2 pills. That way if I have all those side effects
Sat. night Then I'll know not to Keep up the 2 per day. I don't want to maybe have all those symptoms then have to go to work the next morning.

I truely hope you conquer the habit..if you need anything lemme know..My sister quit and she said the inhaler worked well..the gum does too.. There is a book she read too. She quit on my birthday and that was in January.... Let me know if you want the title of the book and I will find out..GOOD LUCK!!!! GOD SPEED!!!

My Doc gave me Zyban also. I have had no major side effects, except tossing and turning. And that could be from anything I guess.
