A friend of mine who works at NASA invited me to his place for the launch. We were 12 miles away, just across the Indian River Lagoon. I was with my father in law and my two old children. It was amazing!!! I had never been that close to a launch before. The ground was shaking. Best of all, we spent all but 5 minutes inside my friend condo.
