Now you have it right Dennis  It has been a long time since I have had a RC cola and a moon pie, wish I could find RC Cola in Lakeland . If I could I would certainly buy a few and some peanuts.

You can still find the Cokes and Barq's in a bottle, it's just insanely expensive. There is this little store up near Paul B. Johnson State Park (near Hattiesburg) that sells them. I know people who put the peanuts in the Coke...if only because it seems RC Cola is becoming a bit scarce. Maybe we're just not looking in the right place.

Janie

They have Cokes and Barq's in a six pack bottle here in Pascagoula at Jerry Lee's Grocery Store, but it's just not he same when they are hot and you have to take them home and put them in the fridge. They just don't get the same "cold" temperature, you know what I mean.

My Brother comes over from Ft. Walton Beach and has to pick up a case or two to take home with him.

MSRobi911 wrote:Now, if only I could find a Mallo-Cup or was it Malo-Cup.....chocolate outside and creamy white stuff in the middle, not marshmellow stuff, something else..good grief! They would put little cards on the bottom like Reese's used to and you could win a free Malo-Cup or MONEY (highest I think was 25 cents, but hey that bought you more Malo-Cups, right!). I haven't seen one of those in ages.

We could take a quarter to the "curb market" and buy a candy bar and a coke and be in heaven...boy that was a long time ago...rofl, showing my age here. (if we could talk somebody into buying some peanuts instead of a candy bar we would all share our candy and that person would share the peanuts to put in our cokes)

MsRobi: Check out the store at the nearest Cracker Barrel for hard to find candies. At our local Cracker Barrel, I found Sky Bars and I believe I saw Malo-Cups there, too. They're more expensive than the candy at Wal-Mart, but they're so much better!

Try this site for old candy you can't find anymore.

http://www.oldtimecandy.com/mallo-cup.htm

I have never heard of peanuts or goobers in soda. I guess it wasn't a New England thing (where I grew up). I don't know if I would be tempted to try it at this point in time.........

There is German company that puts pop rocks in chocolate candy and it is surprisingly good. I can't find it here, but maybe we will try to make our own...
