If someone comes to steal my property they'd better bring a ##@^ing Army regiment with them, because I'll be shooting. :grr:

That is simply awful!

I think that we've allowed the courts for years to slowly take our rights away simply by being able to sue everyone for anything. We've pretty much said during this time period that we aren't responsible for our actions and don't want to be responsible for our actions. It's always someone else's fault! Well, you reap what you sow.

I'm hoping this is the wake-up call that finally unites us all as Americans against partisan interests. I have seen nothing but anger from all across the political spectrum on the political boards I participate on.

I hope you're right gtalum!

That said, unfortunatelky this lays the groundwork for Bush to shove uber-conservative Justices onto the bench. Bad news for us all. I will also begin making evacuation plans to a property outside of the US, but for different reasons than you. ;)

... and 100% of the Democratic appointed justices voted for it ;-)

whats surprising about it mf? this is why we need a political forum

voting for:
stevens
ginsburg
breyer
soutar
kennedy
3 liberals and 2 "moderates"

voting against:
thomas
scalia
rehnquist
o connor
conservatives

this was an incredible expansion of govt power over the rights of individuals. i see nothing surprising about how the voting broke down.
no surprise at all here.

It is surprising to me because the USSC has traditionally been above this kind of political crap. Leftists or not, the USSC has traditionally been on the side of protecting individual rights and lessening the power of government over individuals. Not always, but usually.

As long as the borders are left unsecure, what's it matter?? The Reconquistadores and the La Raza movement will take over the US before the government can.

another point i have brought up before. its time the courts stopped writing law and amending the constitution. 5 people today just decided the right to private property no longer exists.

there is a way to amend the constitution, through the legislative process. does anyone think this garbage would have passed if the people had a chance to voice their opinion on this through their elected representatives?
no chance. this is what is called judicial tyranny. 5 judges just amended the constitution for every person in america, and they ignored the amendment process clearly laid out in the constitution. this is why we need more judges that apply the law, and not make it.

The last chance is to push laws through at the state level to protect private property rights.

cant agree there. they ripped up the 1st amendment recently by upholding campaign finance"reform". which of course reformed nothing. it was a miserable failure

That's my point. As long as we keep pandering to illegal immigrants, eventually they'll reach their goal -- Conquering our country...or in their words, "Reconquering." It WILL be the government.

dont be so confident about that. it took 5 judges 1 ruling to void the right of private property. at anytime 5 judges decide can decide your right to own a weapon or defend yourself can be taken away. and you know what? its coming

So that's one case. I said "usually".

Brown v. Board of Education

Roe v Wade

Bush v Gore

All three of these are cases of the rights of individuals being considered inalienable.

I've got a lot of weapons the government doesn't know about. ;)

As I mentioned earlier, I am also starting my preparations to have a backup plan in place in case I feel the need to bug out of the country.
