I like that Kerry served and is a war hero.

It seems like Bush and Cheney, both of whom never served, like to attack veterans. I think it is a losing strategy for someone who was a screwup until 40 to attack a Veteran.

Bush served from 1968-1973 in the Texas Air National Guard and he's not attacking veterans.

Bush was AWOL. Which isn't right either. its the same as kerry's idiotic behavior during the war protests when he threw his medals over the fence. both are dishonorable acts.

I don't believe he was AWOL. If there's proof of that out there somewhere, I'd like to see it. Otherwise, I think the documents made public, the payroll records and the point summaries during that time period that has been questioned clearly reflect that he served.
