I believe in the spirit world (as it is biblical). The bible speaks of both demons and angels..

If you read in the old testement, king Saul went to a clairvoyant and summoned up the spirit of the prophet Samuel..So there has to be truth to the supernatural. Although the bible is very clear that mankind is not to dabble in such things.

I've never seen a ghost, but I believe that they are around and that they do occur. Actually, I wish that I would. My favorite books to read are those that contain ghost stories.

Duck - I've read that people have seen movement out of the corners of their eyes only to turn and see nothing. Those are supposedly spirits as well, I have that happen to me alot, especially recently for some reason.

I know I've received messages from the "other side". My cat Derby and my Grandmother had sent me them when Derby passed away last September. I had posted the story but in short, a neighbor had stopped by about a week later with things from their cat who had passed away as well. When I brought the bags inside I saw toys and some cat food. Well, the cat food was called "Figaro" which you don't see much of, but it was the brand my Grandmother would always feed her cats (actually heat it up in a pan). Derby's ashes are sitting right next to her picture! A week later that same neighbor came by again with a box of "Scoop Away" cat litter. The picture of the cat on the box, a brown tabby, looks like Derby. The cat on the box is relaxed and has his eyes closed with that content "cat smile" on it. I can't tell you how happy it made me to receive those messages! :D

I never discount something I do not fully understand!

I agree with Amanzi's post that there is discussion of this in the Bible.

Many times I have felt a presence near me; not something that scares me.....but that there is SOMETHING there!

A year or so ago, when visiting my Alzhiemer's Mother, she called me "Maxine".....her sisters' name who had died the year before. When I reminded her that I was "Pam, your daughter"....she quickly stated "Well, she's HERE! She's standing right behind you!"

After discussing this with caretakers, they said every once in a while something like this happens! Similiar to some instances told by children of seeing ghost-like apperitions......perhaps Mom DID see her dear sister standing behind me!.......p

I think our house is haunted. Some nights when my hubby is at work, I go to bed , I am lying there wide awake and the bed will move like someone sat down on it. One night this kept happening so much I finally said, " Who ever or Whatever you are would you stop moving the bed, I am trying to sleep. The bed movement then stopped and didn't move again for the rest of the night.

*snicker* Obviously, that one isn't real. First, duh...the shark isn't real. And secondly, those are foreign road signs, so that's certainly not Houston. :)

Actually, I wouldn't consider many of those pics real. Those "ghosts" and "orbs" are just lights reflected on the lens funny or something like that. At least, that's my opinion. :) But I can vouch for The Face. I've seen it also. It's just a discoloration in the side of the building. But apparently the UTMB maintenance crews have tried sandblasting, bleaching, and scores of other treatments and it keeps coming back.

Who knows?
