We're not saying that you have agree, just respect other's opinions without attacking. Sure, there are alot of topics that will raise anyone's blood pressure and in the heat of the discussion, things may be said that probably shouldn't be. It's when you (meaning anyone) comes into a conversation or starts one with both fists up that there's a problem.

Good point Steph. Best thing to do when you see something like that is take a deep breath first and then try to respond. Dont jump the gun. Trust me it works i have been doing this now for sometime!

I agree. While we don't always agree with everything we read or debate about, respect is the Key. I myself get passionate about certain topics but in the end we all need to respect everyones opinions even if they differ form our own. Storm2k is a place where everyone should feel comfortable debating, as long as it is done with respect Anyone who can't follow those rules needs to find that greener grass shawn showed us. IMHO

Thank you stormraiser, for raising a few eyebrows here! Sometimes I am quite surprised at some of the exchanges on these pages......and it does often seem that one or two moderators get upset at anyone who disagrees with their particular point of view. Some time back, I was tempted to post the dictionary definition of the word "moderator" hoping it would make the realization of this honored responsibility more than a reason to launch personal attacks or increase post numbers.

Anyone can feel free to contact me at ANYTIME if you see something that you think is not right.. But Mods are allowed to have there views and are more then welcome to discuss them in a respectfull manner just as everyone else is

This board cannot hold a candle to WWBB in terms of debating. This place is an ego fest for yourself and the "troll patrol". Little reality check...in the real world, sometimes people get mad, and that's okay. This board is nothing like the real world, its a cozy little haven for self important people like yourself that provides them with a sense of control. Actually, the moderation on this board is one of the reasons I visit and post here often.... for the simple reason posters are not allowed to stoop to name-calling and such. The debating on this board is great also.

KOW you've certainly participated in some of those wild debates at WWBB haven't you? No I would show restraint with my boss, that's because he is my boss. When debating peers or friends, sometimes things aren't always so polite and that IS the real world, this is not. You guys have good discussions, but they are not what I would call debates.

You are right. Both boards serve their purpose. I think the biggest difference between the two is that on here, you'll find the atmosphere is more family oriented.
