Good luck setting up your website. If you're looking for free hosting, I'd recommend Brinkster (http://www.brinkster.com). They offer ASP support, which is quite unusual for a free provider.

Although they do place ads on the top of every page if you get the basic/free service, the problem can be averted quite simply by placing a <NOCODE> tag just before the < BODY> tag, and then closing it (</NOCODE>) immediately after the < BODY> tag.
