I have never seen any Lord of the Rings movies, and I don't plan on seeing any Lord of the Rings movies lol.

I'm just not a big fan of those types of movies..

I'll probably see it sometime in the future...on DVD. I think Sean Astin is a cutie (takes after his mom, my favorite - Patty Duke :) ). And I hear his daughter is in this one also.

John, I'm with you. I never got into the LOTR craze. Never seen any of the movies, don't really plan to. :)

While I've really enjoyed the movies, the books are so much better. They're not the easiest of reading but they can be enjoyed on so many different levels ranging from the simple "Good vs Evil" to "romance" to "The strength of the soul". These books were concieved and written during the midst of the Industrial Age and World War I. The pastural life across Europe was shken from it's roots and forms a backdrop for the symbology of the books. If you haven't read them you're missing one of the modern classics :-)
