Torture, IMHO, isn't necesssary...it does put us on their level, and produces nothing of value...it didn't work in RVN.
Psychological means though....like placing a pig in the Sheikh's cell, may work wonders.
Better, sleep deprivation along with subtly timed bytes of information that other Al Qaida bigwigs have given us this, or that...something only the privileged few would know in their system, coupled with a certain rapport that experienced investigators develop with the suspect at hand (however long that takes)...or revealing what we got from his own laptop and cell phone, those personal notes from Osama, etc.
It's a chess game, but fruitful. Patience, focus and a "sotto voce" interrogation style, folks....HE gets angry and flustered...we don't.

How about this: We tie him securely to a chair naked. Next we rig up a line anchored at one end to his shriveled up manhood...the other end to a movement sensitive trigger mechanism wired to a sack of plastic explosives taped to his head. Next we set up the IV and let a steady drip of liquid Viagra enter his bloodstream. Eventually....to the utter delight of the cheering laughing crowd....he rises involuntarily and BOOM!!! His head is removed from his body and his aching erection is allowed to subside giving him much needed relief.
What kind of chair? A recliner perhaps? LOL

snip<wannabe....did you just get off the plane with the rest of the Human Shields??>
no i was not part of the human shields in iraq. i merely think that physical torture makes us just as bad as them.

Continuously play Barry Manilow music in his cell. Arrange visits by Hillary Clinton. Place a TV in his cell playing continuous "reality" shows. Give him old "Seventeen" magazines to read. Paint his room in clashing flourescent colors. Make his bed crooked and give him a lumpy pillow. Let his toilet flush only once a day. Feed him nothing but cold McDonalds food. Dress the guards in clown suits. Give him puzzles with missing pieces. Put TV cameras outside his cell but don't tell him what they're for. Get 13-year-old girls to stand outside his cell and whisper to each other, point to him, and giggle. Give him a gay roommate.

its called therapy streetsoldier......I think we are all still a might pit po'd about 911.
btw.....I think your prescribed methods will work, and every psychologist out there running their mouths on the airwaives supports that approach. I say whatever works. Try your approach first..if it doesn't work..then hook up the Viagra/plastic explosive machine.

streetsoldier im not saying what method they should use. They know what works better than all of us, but what i am saying is that if they think slow physical torture will work, well then my God DO IT. The thought of not doing it because this guy has rights is just freaking rediculous.
Again, im not saying torture this guy for fun, but i am saying do what ever they think it takes, cause this low life scum has NO rights

No matter what we do, we will never be as low as them. I respect your opinion but there comes a time for action. Torture is far better than what our innocent citizens were given that fateful morning. So stop and think before you tell us to be better than them. Anger is a normal emotion after what we have been through. Like I said all americans in someway or another feel this. Being ALL NICE AND KIND is ok. But tell that to those who lost someone on 911.JQ Public wrote:I think the kinds of torture you guys are advocating show that we can stoop to the same levels as these guys. If you wanna show how civilized we are compared to the terrorists i don't think torturing them with cement blocks and what not clarifies the difference.
