We go to the farm and get our own...Christmas just wouldn't be the same with a fake tree IMO.

O.K.....I admit it.....my trees are artificial. Used to only use fresh trees......(mmmmm.....those Frasier are wonderful; the "Cadillac" of trees!) and I used small Hemlock on both the front and back sun-porches......but last year I broke down and bought an artificial for the living room. This afternoon I purchased 2 little fake 4 footers for the porches because I'm anxious to get them all up!

I've been decorating customer homes for over forty years......so it'll be exciting to get mine done early! I bought fresh cedar roping for over the fireplace and outside.......and a 30# box of fresh mixed greens to make arrangements thruout the house.......LOVE this season!!.......p

We have an artificial tree that looks like the Black Forest uprooted and dropped into our living room....it may prove too big for our new apartment, though.

I never thought that I would allow anything in my house other than a real one, but lo and behold for the last ten years or so, we have had a fake tree. Although the one that we have, you could never tell it was fake. We even spray pine scent on it to make it seem more real.

I haven't even seen a fiber optic tree in someones house before! I think they are sooo pretty in the catalogs though!! :D

This was a hard question to anwser since I have two families (divorce will do that!) Since I live with my mom I anwsered for this household, which is fake, we have a HUGE fake tree because our ceiling is 15 ft and we can! :D At my dad's house, we get a real tree every year though, so I get a bit of both! I tell ya though, it is plenty easier to clean up the fake!

OHD, this ole fart thought the same thing at first!! I guess that was why I was so quick to open the thread! :P

Chad get a smaller tree and put it up on a table. We did when our kids were young! You only have to do it for a year or two. :D

I go out every year right after thanksgving to a farm and pick a tree, then cut it down. It's tradition for me. It brings back a lot of memmories of years gone by.

Fake.....used to do real but I got tired of paying $100 for a decent tree. I'd rather spend the $100 helping out an underpriviledged child who wouldn't have any Christmas at all.

When the price of real trees started jumping toward $40 back in Illinois, I did the math. An artificial tree bought AFTER Christmas at half price would pay for itself in 3 years or less.

So artificial it has been since the early 1990's.

But our Christmas spirit (with the exception of last year) is always alive and well.

I have to admit that when I first opened this post, I thought perhaps it was referring to the status of our breasts!!!

Here in Scottsdale (AKA Snotsdale) Arizona, it is common to give high school graduates breast implants for graduation (mostly for the girls, I hope!).

For the record, mine are real but our tree is not.

Real. My family had a fake tree for several years, but I never liked it. Even though a real tree is more work, I think it just looks and smells much nicer. Plus, I know of a place that has a wonderful selection. You cut your own and it's $25 for any tree between 6 and 8 ft. in height.

ROFLMAO..

I always have a real one! I would rather not get any gifts than have a fake tree. Need to smell that smell... it just takes me right back to childhood and the excitement of christmass. I want my kids to enjoy the same tradition I did growing up.

This year hubby has ordered a whole truck load of tress to sell at the nursery... I get the pick of the crop, and we have an a frame house with gigantic ceilings... so the sky is the limit for my tree this year (now I just have to save up money for ornaments!)
