I am a regular blood donor because I have to be. I have the rare RH Negative Type A blood. Or A negative as some call it. I just say RH negative.

Our local TV station ran a story about this precious young girl just this morning. I hope she recovers completely and has a long and prosperous life.

My heart and prayers go out to all those that was affected by this tragic mistake. First to a little girl whose life is only beginning and her family (and friends) that hold her so dear. But also to the doctors and medical staff that made this mistake. Duke University Hospital saved my Dad's life when all others wanted to pack him up and send him home to die. They did a 6 artery by-pass 15 years ago. For this, I will be forever grateful to them. This is just so sad......for all.

This is just heartbreaking. Local special news report now saying Jesica has severe and irreversable brain damage. This is so tragic.

they showed the story on NBC 26 out of Green Bay. They kept teasing the story... (which means grabbing people in to the newscast...its media lingo). It was definately a heartbreaking story. Right before Jessica's story, they showed a local man who served in Korea. I happened to personally know the man (I was hypotized by him and he also comes into the Neenah-Menasha Y to swim.) He is a wonderful person, who just happens to be legally blind. He has not seen the face of his wife, or his grandkids or the purple heart that he received for his work in Korea. The sad thing is that the Cease Fire was signed between the Koreas three days after his schrapnal accident which took his eyesight. He was fighting on the 38th parallel (the front lines.)

Jesica's family will need our prayers even more now. This is a tough situation, her new organs are working fine, but the wait for them caused such a drain on her little body - only 5'2"' tall. the size of a young child...
We need to keep them all in our prayers. . .

You can go to http://www.marrow.org/ for info. I joined a few years ago when there was a local drive in the community for a young child who needed a transplant. I believe there is normally a cost for blood/tissue typing which was waived at the time of the drive.

CNN is saying that Jesica has irreversible brain damage due to the time spent on the ventilator waiting for a transplant.
