They won't. At least three new episodes(and probably more than that) in a row. The ABC schedule for this month is already out. House will get pre-empted by Idol's 2-hour episodes.

I must have missed the cliffhanger, that ending was pretty boring. The rest of the episode was great though.

I thought it was really obvious that she would pay for Heather's surgery. Izzie was standing there watching the mom freak out and for some reason didn't immediately make the connection with giving her the money.
When I saw Heather all I could think of was Arrested Development, because she played George Michael's girlfriend Ann Veal on it.
The reason it ended with a To Be Continued message was the episode was intended to be just one episode but when it went to editing it was already 17 minutes too long and they just couldn't cut out 17 minutes so they did reshoots and went with 2 episodes.
Now I can't wait to find out what's going with Addison.

The Isaiah Washington crap is getting worse.
Katherine Heigl Lashes Out At Co-Star Over Homophobic Slur
LOS ANGELES (January 16, 2007) – "Grey's Anatomy" star Katherine Heigl is taking a stand against her "Grey's" co-star Isaiah Washington after he used a homophobic slur in the Golden Globes press room on Monday night.
"I am not okay with it," Heigl told Access Hollywood's Shaun Robinson, referring to Washington's remarks.
In the Globes press room on Monday, Washington tried to set the record straight in regards to reports in October of an on-set incident that resulted from the alleged use of a homophobic slur toward co-star T.R. Knight.

He needs to get fired. He should have been fired 3 months ago. This is unacceptable for the #1 scripted show on TV.

ABC has released a statement on Isaiah!!!
"We have a long-standing policy to create and maintain respectful workplaces for all our employees. We dealt with the original situation in October, and thought the issue resolved. Therefore, we are greatly dismayed that Mr. Washington chose to use such inappropriate language at the Golden Globes, that he himself deemed 'unfortunate' in his previous public apology. We take this situation very seriously, and his actions are unacceptable and are being addressed."
and from TV Guide:
Isaiah Washington Speaks: "I've Asked for Help"
And the plot thickens. Isaiah Washington just released the following statement:
"I apologize to T.R., my colleagues, the fans of the show and especially the lesbian and gay community for using a word that is unacceptable in any context or circumstance. By repeating the word Monday night, I marred what should have been a perfect night for everyone who works on Grey's Anatomy. I can neither defend nor explain my behavior. I can also no longer deny to myself that there are issues I obviously need to examine within my own soul, and I've asked for help.
I know the power of words, especially those that demean. I realize that by using one filled with disrespect I have hurt more than T.R. and my colleagues. With one word, I've hurt everyone who has struggled for the respect so many of us take for granted. I welcome the chance to meet with leaders of the gay and lesbian community to apologize in person and to talk about what I can do to heal the wounds I’ve opened.
T.R.'s courage throughout this entire episode speaks to his tremendous character. I hold his talent, and T.R. as a person, in high esteem. I know a mere apology will not end this, and I intend to let my future actions prove my sincerity."

Isaiah is a confusing person. He goes on record saying he never used the slur against T.R. to begin with and T.R. has now come out to say:
Knight: "Washington Did Use the 'F' Word"
Gay Grey's Anatomy star TR Knight has labeled castmate Isaiah Washington a liar after speaking out about the actor's 'f****t' slur at Monday night's Golden Globes. Washington stunned castmates in the press room at the Golden Globe Awards when he grabbed a microphone and insisted he never used the derogatory word on the set, later calling it "vile." But angry Knight, who revealed his homosexuality after word spread of Washington's outburst towards him, and Washington's subsequent on-set fight with fellow TV surgeon Patrick Dempsey, is keen to set the record straight. During a taping of Ellen DeGeneres' talk show, which aired yesterday, Knight revealed Washington did use the 'f' word. The actor said, "He referred to me as a f****t... Everyone heard it... I've never been called that to my face. I think, when that happened, something shifted and it became bigger... than myself... I could've just let it slide and not said anything but it became important." Knight admits he was stunned when Washington used the 'f' word again on Monday night - in an effort to insist he had never used the term. He adds, "He denied that he said it... I don't know what to say, really, about that... but it's pretty bad." Knight's pals are on his side - cast mate Katherine Heigl fought back angry tears during an interview on US news show Access Hollywood after Washington's Golden Globes gaffe, and hissed, "He needs to just not speak in public. Period."

Whatever happened during the first incident in October, it seemed that they had worked it all out and forgotten about it. In regards to this incident, I blame the reporter first for bringing it back up and I blame Washington second for not saying something to the effect of "No comment. It's over...we've moved on." Instead, he chose to not only comment on the incident (and allegedly lie about it), but to use the word again.
As far as I'm concerned, he was there with his castmates representing the show and the network. He should have to answer to the network for his behavior. If I was somewhere in public, as a representative of UTMB hospital, even if I'm not on the clock, I should still act accordingly with respect to the standards of conduct of the university. And if I don't, I'm sure I'd be disciplined. Even though I don't agree with the use of the f-word in most cases* (same as with the n-word or GD), I know people do it in private and that's their issue and their right. But most employers don't tolerate behavior like that in front of customers or other employees. ABC is probably one of them.
*(As a writer, I'd be stupid to say I don't agree with the use of those words in "any" or "all" cases. Obviously, it's necessary to use them to illustrate a character's flaws and motivation.)

Does anyone else they are gradually writing his character out anyway? What did he do last night? Laid on the bed and had about 3 short scenes. I figured his hand tremors would have been fixed by now... and I wonder if the reason they are not has to do with the October incident(the episode was filmed in Mid to Late November).
Based on the wording of the ABC statement, you can tell they are not happy and are probably giving serious consideration to firing him. I think they are tired of the controversy too.
I've been seeing spoilers of a "major death" coming up in February for awhile(sweeps)... conveinently episodes that are filming this month.
