FINALLY.. I even said a prayer about it in church tonight.. yay! Now.. THIS IS A REAL COMPETITION..

Although.. To be honest.. If Lakisha would have been sent home, it wouldn't have made me feel bad for 1 reason.. I DID NOT like the way she whaled Carrie Underwood's song..

Glad she's getting 1 more chance though..

Lakisha had an off-night last night and everyone knows she is talented.

We found out that he had been voted off when my eleven year old niece called on the phone very excited. We missed the show because we were watching a movie on DVD.

So glad to see him go! He should have never been there in the first place. Now I can start watching Idol again!

This week's show was taped in advance. This week's song selections:[spoil]
Blake - Imagine by John Lennon
Lakisha - I Believe by Fantasia
Melinda - There Will Come A Day by Faith Hill
Chris - Change the World by Eric Clapton
Phil - The Change by Garth Brooks
Jordin - You'll Never Walk Alone[/spoil]

Pojo, Chris sang before Melinda. It was ok.

Chris, Melinda, and Blake were ok. The topic again is boring. I will be voting as much as possible tonight.

I was bored. I miss Sanjaya.

:shocked!:

Not looking forward to 1 1/2 hours of filler tomorrow. I know it's for a good cause and star-studded but... 2 hours is too much. There's already excessive filler in an hour.

Melinda is the best. Lakisha was good, Chris was bad. I maintain that Sanjaya is better than Chris. Jordin is by far the most overrated contestant. The ability to scream while singing does not make one superior.

Hmmm., That can be said and has been about Lakisha(the screaming). I must disagree with you about Jordin. She sang the song, she did scream like Lakisha does and she has shown she can do other genres well also. Mellinda is phenomenal, but I don't think she is all around Idol. I think Jordin is closet to that. I will forgo comment re Sanjaya and Chris, but will say Chris will be gone before long.

Melinda, Blake, and Phil are safe.

Ryan says the results are the "most shocking ever". I'm guessing no one goes home. Lakisha or Chris wouldn't be a shock, no way Jordin is going.

It is such an emotional show. I am having a hard time watching the show without breaking down. All those poor kids! It makes you feel so thankful for what you have.
