Miss Mary wrote:PS - edit, click on that link for the CBS Survivor: Palau link I provided. Scroll down to the very bottom and on the left hand side you'll see a Feedback place to click on. A window pops up with an easy to fill out field. I sent them a short note asking that they re-air this episode. Maybe if enough of us send requests, they'll consider it? What have we to lose?

CBS has absolutely nothing to lose because Saturday Night is the lowest-rated night of TV anyway. What they would air instead of Survivor would be a crime repeat...

Whoops.

Well that basically shoots any chance at a re-airing.

Lots of the usual people missed it last night. It usually pulls about a 19 or 20 rating.

"Survivor: Palau," airing on Wednesday to make room for NCAA tournament coverage Thursday, scored a 10.7/17 for CBS at 8 p.m. ABC grabbed second with a repeat of "Lost," 5.9/9. An hour's worth of "That '70s Show" on FOX came in third, ahead of "American Dreams," 4.1/6, on NBC. "America's Next Top Model," 3.5/5, finished fifth, and a "Smallville" rerun on The WB brought up the rear.

Yes j, this is a good one. A lot's happened since that first episode....

Forgot something Angie said on the CBS morning show. When asked why she wore such skimpy clothing, the talk show host called it a tiny bikini, but Angie explained she brought a nice swimsuit to wear. None of the contestants were allowed to bring any clothing items they packed. What they were wearing when taken on the boat, was it. So we all knew those skimpy black bikini was really underwear....:-) Angie said she opted to wear underwear during the day so her clothes stayed dry and she'd be warm when she slept, wearing all of them then. Were the nights that cold ya think? Mmmm......

Anyone else at one point of last night's episode see that scene where a small shark was going after a school of fish near the shore of one of the tribal camps?

Also, hearing those crickets during the tribal councils is peaceful, too.

Yeah... but I didn't notice it til I ran through it again this morning. It was right after Ulong got lost during that storm.

We saw the shark and wondered where the heck that Ulong tribe was. There went their dinner!

I just watched the voting again with my daughter Laura. It was so hard not to give details away. She knew going in two would be voted off. So I just kept saying two....LOL Which is what happened of course. But the twists and rule changes, Jeff's reprimands and such, were worth watch a second time. I was wrong about something, it was Bobby Jon who explained why they brought all their stuff (tools, tarps, blankets) to tribal council. Hoping they'd merge. When Jeff said - you won't be merging, with such annoyance, I actually felt sorry for Ulong (second viewing). Laura explained to me why they brought everything since both tribes would be there. Guess the Ulong gang wanted to sleep in a hammock and that killer Home Depot Shelter for once!

Oh, she was sad to see Angie go. I still feel sad for that girl.

Miss Mary

I too was sad to see Angie gone. She worked hard and gave her best during all the challenges. Stephanie has an attitude problem, seems to me any way, but I will say she gives 120% in everything she does.

I just knew poor old country boy James was a goner. But I guess the 3 guys from Alabama are sticking together! But only because Ibrehem got immunity which I didn't think was right, but I didn't think he needed to go because of one failed challenge when he had tried hard on all the other ones. Actually I didn't think any of them needed to go, all five were good players and deserved to stay, but I guess somebody had to go. Imbrehem gave a good speach when Jeff asked him about what was going on and I felt the other tribe understood that.

Mary - we often agree on things don't we? Must be our names (and don't forget our ages!).....Shame we're not Gemini's together...

Ibrehem's speech saved him. Because if you think about it, Koror wasn't prepared to give immunity to anyone. They hadn't discussed anything like that. That's why I think their 'votes' were all over the place at first, unlike votes at a tribal council. Similar to Ulong having to vote someone else off besides Ibrehem. If not for Ibrehem's speech and the fact that he lost the challenge for Ulong, I don't think any on the Koror tribe would have realized he was next to go. I know I wouldn't have! I wish that sorry-sack Ulong tribe had stayed at 5 too and I agree, Steph does have an attitude problem. Not really rude, just not nice or smiley either. My daughter Laura told me she doesn't like Steph, for the same reason you gave. She always sits there with that stone cold face, like I'm pissed right now....meanwhile, Angie had tears in her eyes. Guess if you want to get far in this game you don't cry! Boy, I'd be gone quickly on Survivor, I can't be that competitive like Steph is.

I keep thinking of a nic a TV Guide reviewer had for James - Mush-mouth! Whenever he speaks, I think of that nic and have to crack up. Sometimes I can't understand that boy!!! I've dubbed him Gomer....but mush-mouth sounds funnier.

OH Miss Mary,

I cracked up about James and the mush mouth. The bad thing is I understand every word he says...he is so country and we have a lot of good ole boys around here. I am sure Lindaloo knows exactly what he is saying too. Its like when I married into my husband's family from New Orleans, I couldn't understand a thing half of them were saying, most of the time I would just smile and agree. After so long, its grown on me and I find when I go for a weekend and stay around them, I come home with a coonass accent myself on some things. I know when my husband goes hunting and comes home, he sounds like he should be back in the bayou.

We do agree on just about everything, don't know if it the names, the ages or just "us" cause we are special......can you say that like that character on the old TV show, Isn't that special??...you remember I am sure. Oh and I am a Virgo...if you know me I am pretty much to the letter of the definition of a Virgo.

Mary - cracking up here picturing you getting used to your in-law's and y'all getting to know eachother!!! LOL James doesn't annoy me too much ('cept his underwear!). Couple of strong accents on this Survivor - Tom and his Boston-Rob lingo and James.

Okay now, I'm going nuts here trying to remember who said - isn't that special. I want to say it was a male African American Comedian? Am I right so far? And for some odd reason I want to say it was In Living Colour, but that's a 90s show. I'm assuming you're reaching way back - to the 70s?

Duckie - help, who is referring to and from what show?

Once again, right again Duckie my friend!!!!

For the life of me I couldn't remember who said that.

Thanks and "Well, now isn't that SPAY-SHUL!"

Mary

PS and James sure could use some new "drawers"! Bobby Jon's accent comes out every once in a while, I can tell he is trying not to talk too "southern" and Ibrehem even lets it slip every once in a while....gotta love those Alabama boys!

I am ready for this week's episode. It involves swimming again, wonder how Ibrehem is going to do this time.
