after the big spike, cracks have stabilized in the mid $20's. this is your best barometer of pump price trends.

Thanks. I've never heard of NYMEX before. It gives good information on all merchantile exchange activity.

Still almost $5/gal and still big premiums on electricity and water (fuel surcharge), food goes up with gas almost immediately. Gasoline takes longer to go back down, food never does.

We complain a lot here on the mainland because of what we are used to as being "normal" when in reality we don't know how good we have it compared to a lot of others in this world. It is often a matter of perspective I think.

Very true. I recently went to Cuba to visit my relatives and I know what's to live in a 3rd world country!

I didn't look today, but the lowest I've seen here so far is 3.44. You remember .79 a gallon? I remember .29 a gallon and an occasional .19 a gallon if there was a gas war going on. I'd settle for a dollar lower than it is now.

Big oil price plunge because of untapping of oil reserves

Great news here as for sure at a station near you,the price at the pump will continue to go down.

Well, the prices at the pump for sure will go down very soon as oil has dropped bigtime in the past few days.Is now around $80.00 a barrel ,comming down from the upper 90's that was in May,June and July.
