My sister was around 100 pounds when she was in her teens and 20's; she gained good 20 to 30 pounds in the last couple years. The day she practically turned 30, she gradual gained the weight.

Hopefully my metabolism will slow down like her's did, 3½ to 4 years from now.

That's my problem ... I spend waaaaaaaaaay too much time in front of the compy. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I'm too shy to meet new people, but I do have a tendency to check hot girls out when they aren't looking... ;)

My mom, growing up always was concerned about me, because I couldn't gain weight. Now I worry about me because her praying worked too well.

Glad to hear everyone is doing well with their weight loss. I've lost 7 lbs since I started posting in this thread. I'm so excited. One of my friend's noticed yesterday and I was on cloud nine, LOL. Keep up the good work everyone!

I know how you feel!! Twice this week I was told I've lost a considerable amount of weight! Once in a gas station by a clerk I used to work with, and tonight my cousin saw me for the first time in about a month and she noticed as well!

Well stormy, I had quite a bit of extra weight I wanted off to be healthy, I've lost enough to make myself healthier (the change in eating habits alone helps a great deal!) but still have a bit to go to make it to my goal!! LOL still avoiding exact amounts but I'll spill my guts when I make it to my goal!! :D

Oh, boy. I haven't been doing all that well, and I haven't weighed myself. Will try to tomorrow morning. I just found out that our exhibit on the mall last July was accepted and I will be doing folk dancing next July as well. It sure would help to lose that weight by then. It ain't no fun doing folk dances with extra weight hanging on.

Well, I have been going to Curves for a week and a half now. I must say that it has given me more energy and I look forward to going. Which is a big plus for me.

I was going to try the Atkins Diet along with the exercise program, but found out that Curves offers a diet program and support group after the first of the year. They weigh you and take your measurements at the beginning of the month. Will let you all know if I have lost any inches.

BTW... ticka.... I am going to win that free dinner at the Festival. :P

I am very proud of you Jen!! :D

I keep losing weight and gaining it right back.. But I've been told that drastic weight changes are not uncommon while battling the depression I am going through

Jacki... they open at 7 in the morning and close 7 at night. They are open on Saturdays too from 8 to 12. You go three times a week for 30 minutes each day.

Hmmmmm, well I could probably go in the morning on my way home from work, since I get off at 7....as for night 7 is usually when I wake up so that wouldn't work! Thanks for the info! :D
