News from CourtTV:
WACO, Texas — An inmate who scaled a fence and slipped out to freedom last week ditched his orange jumpsuit for a bright green leprechaun suit.
The man was nabbed by police hours later.
Police say Timothy Norwood Baker escaped from the McClennan County jail and then broke into the Baylor University Fine Arts Center, where he swapped his uniform for a costume from the prop department.
He was arrested at about 6 a.m. on Feb. 7 at a local convenience store after a motorist recognized him from a police photo and alerted authorities.
The chairman of the Baylor theater arts department said the theater closet contained mostly 19th century costumes, 1950s-style prom dresses and some fairy and witch costumes for children's theater.
Baker is currently being held on $215,000 bond. He was originally in custody on charges of aggravated robbery and sexual assault.
