Pentagon Speech

#1 Postby Guest » Tue Mar 25, 2003 10:19 am

Is the Pentagon Speech by President Bush still scheduled? Or did I hear the news incorrectly this morning?

Please keep me updated.

I know President Bush is due to be in Tampa tomorrow at McDill, AFB. I bet the security will be real heavy. Looks like he's going to be speaking from the Pentagon is just a few minutes.

There Will Be a Briefing

#4 Postby Steve H. » Tue Mar 25, 2003 10:44 am

A briefing is scheduled for 10:40 EST (which is in 5 minutes). Probably to warn Iraqis not to use Chemical weapons (again). Amazing to me how we took the bridge without them blasting it. It's not like we beat them to it, they're already there. They chose not to detonate charges (presuming they were planted). Strange. WIll the Iraqis use chemical weapons?? I kinda don't think so. They may want to go in the history books as being the victims of American terrorists. Then again, maybe not. Not sure if they are the martyr types in the Republican guard. On the other hand, if they're going to fight to the death, why not use them. Very nasty/unpredictable situation. BTW, you'd think the sandstorm we be advantageous to the Iraqis; they're used to this weather and know thier limitations in such conditions. Hope the harsh conditions subside; then again if the winds keep up, they may not be able to use WMD effectively if they do. We sure will find out this week!! :?:
