Getting ready to move!

#1 Postby coriolis » Sat May 29, 2004 10:59 pm

Our landlord is selling this house. He offered to sell it to us, but he's asking too much, and we want to get out of this neighborhood. We have until the end of July. We're starting to pack and look around. I'll update as the situation develops!

"Ugh!".......I *hates* moving, I've been in the same house/area for over 20 years now, we did, however, move out of the old house and tore it down and put this new modular home in 2 years ago, that doesn't count does it? Good luck with the move Ed, I'd help, but my BACK is KILLING ME  "A good friend owns a pickup and helps you move!"

Good luck, Ed! I've certainly done my share of
moving - there for a few years, me and U-Haul
had become good friends! ;)

Thanx Stephanie. We are not going to get a mortgage. Since my bankruptcy 15 yrs ago, I've paid cash for everything! So we are debt free still, but don't have credit established. We've taken a few steps towards that, but too little too late, in light of our LL's decision at this time. So it's off to another rental for a year or two. I'm sort of playing a game of chicken, looking for the best place. There's lots of available places, but I'm going to hold out until some time in late June before I start to panic.

Oh geez Cori, just when you think everything is all comfy and cozy...When I sold my house in Daytona, I had tenants, but the new owners let them stay...have you considered that option? Or are the new owners moving in?

I got a house available in Louisiana....lol 4000 sq ft...elevator....ya interested? :)

That's a good thought, furry, but no no no no no no no no. We want to get away from these neighbors, away from this neighborhood, away from this school district, and away from this city!

Seems like you're not enthusiastic about your current home/neighborhood. So this is kind of like a blessing in disguise. Hope you find a lovely new home in a great neighborhood at an awesome price. :)

Oh, yes, WX, I'm keeping the same job. No problems there. Hopefully within a 15 mile radius.

thanks for the positive thoughts, Jen, Skywatch, Steph, Annette, and Dennis.
