I won't be online as much until June 5th Graduation day, because after lunch, it is time for every student at my school to turn in the school-issued laptops, but you know how it's gonna be, lap-tops are issued, then students use, abuse, download illegally, take it back to tech-lab for repairs, use, abuse, and return it by almost the end of the year. However, I will be online during breakfast time, after school (Except Friday afternoons, because I make weekly visits to my friend who has Muscular Dystrophy), and Saturday afternoons. After Graduation day, I'll be online in the afternoons. Monday-Saturday.

I was wondering the same thing about the laptops. I've only heard about that happening at private institutions. He must be in a great school district. Congrats on your upcoming graduation Stooge!

We got our school-issued laptops (Made by Dell) by grants from a technology company. Mainly, these computers are used for school work so that we won't have to waste so much notebook paper. They have wireless internet so that we wouldn't have to fight over a network connecting wire. Now, several students use them to view crappy videos (content wise), download illegal music and even sharing and transfering them with their friends, etc.

Wow! That is amazing that you have laptops! I think that tech company should be applauded!

We'll look forward to you popping in when you can!

I never had laptops at school. We had 5 computers in each room but you were barred from the internet. :x

We didn't even have the internet when I was in school. I vaguely remember Radio Shack TRS-80's and then some DOS-based word processing program where we had to practice typing (I want to say "Word Perfect" was the program, but then again, I think that's too new. It was "Word" or "Write"-something).

All the laptops are turned in, inspected, and good to go for next year's students. Some kids had to pay for certain missing components, however, some had to pay over $100 dollars for a broken screen on the laptops. If the computers were uninsured, they had to pay almost $380. Luckily for me, the laptop I had only had a couple of broken keys, but since I have insurance on mine, they'll fix it free of charge. :D

Well, almost over, still got a week & a half plus exams. They took the laptops up early since there were so many people using them. They gotta have every last one of them (except for teacher's) reset ready to go. Hopefully they'll block downloading next school year, not that I'll be there I'd be in college, but let's hope for the best.

I'm thinking about heading to a Community college (just close to home) for 4 years, just to save money. I'm about to study for meteorology. Wish me luck.
