Help! How do I fix this?

#1 Postby janswizard » Mon Apr 26, 2004 2:39 am

Last night I decided to burn a CD - I hadn't used my CD burner for ages.
I kept getting error messages indicating that the CD was damaged. I put in several brand new CD's and still kept getting the same error message. The last time I did it, my tray won't come out for me to retrieve the CD. Anyone know how to open it without forcing the drawer?

If there is a tiny hole on the front of the CD drive, insert a paper clip into it and you can open it that way. :)

Thanks, Joshua, that worked. Here I am, reading about all the new computers being bought by Storm2K members and I start having problems with mine. I hope this isn't an omen. My computer is only 2 years old!
