:( More fuel to my depressed fire :(

Well.. throw 1 more log onto the depressed fire..

My heart has been broken AGAIN! The girl I was dating has opted to be "just good friends".

My heart is not shattered. But it's not in 1 piece either.. :(

In another interesting story that is almost laughable.. lol.. A girl in my church apparently likes me. She dragged me all around the sanctuary before service tonight so she could tell me in private. lol

Here's why it's laughable. Because even though I do kinda like her.. She's A.. probably too young.. B. a bossy 5 letter word and C. not my type lol

So I will more than happily tell her NO next time I see her. I am honored that she likes me.. But Um.. No lol

One day you will realize that the perfect woman, the one we dream to meet, does not exist.
Being aware of that, after many many rejections you will find a nice woman that may be closer to your dream or just be the opposite, but your heart will tell "here she is".
By the way, look for a woman you like to talk with. One day, that's going to be the only thing you can do

Hey John - here's another way to look at it. I thought I wanted someone so badly too at 17, almost 18. Devoted 2 years of my HS (Junior/Senior) years to a steady boyfriend. We married a year out of HS. Divorced almost 8 years later. I have so many memories from HS or my early 20s, that's he involved in. I know I can't wipe him out of my past, but I'd like to do it over! I wish I hadn't even had one date with him! What was I thinking to get tied down so early in life? My parents had a rocky marriage and I think I just so much wanted that happy homelife I craved. So much so I went out and almost created it. Trouble was it was all in my head! He wasn't committed to our marriage, or as much as I was. While that experience made me who I am today, it was not always easy. Just for one example, my oldest daughter went to her first Prom this past weekend. And many discussions came out of her going - what my prom(s) were like, what her dad's were like. Who we went with, what I wore, did we have after prom's back then (the dark ages you know), etc. So I had to go down that road of memories again, and my ex was smack in the middle of them. Ugh.

What I'm trying to say is this - don't try so hard, the right girl will come along. Just don't rush it - you're only 21. The time of your life, IMHO.
