Tom Skilling's Fermilab Seminar

#1 Postby azskyman » Thu Apr 01, 2004 8:11 pm

I also placed this in the severe weather forum....

There are a number of very good severe weather programs around the country every spring. I've been to some. I've made presentations at some.

But I have to admit among my favorites is WGN-TV's Tom Skilling's Fermilab Tornado Seminar held this year on Saturday, April 3rd.

The topics are great, the auditorium feels like a planetarium, and seeing those videos on a large screen with an audience full of people who want to really learn about those spring storms makes it extra special.

I list Tom among my friends, and I still think he is in love with the sky...even after years and years of watching and reporting it. That's what makes this seminar special.

Just curious if anyone has been to one of his, or if you plan to go this weekend.

Neat place. Good program. Great Education. And a real fan of the sky kicking it off.

Obviously I won't be driving on over there like I did when I lived in Illinois, but I'll be wishing I could.

I really enjoy watching Tom Skilling's weather reports on Superstation WGN, although I don't watch him regularly. He has one of the, if not the most comprehension and longest segment any meteorologist give. They are easily five minutes long.
