I think that they already are and for the life of me I never understood the reasoning for that procedure.

SG - that is a good point. I believe that there are woman out there that have made a mistake and then those like Josephine said that have used it as a form of "birth control" :grrr: In my opinion, those women shouldn't even be able to pro-create.

I agree Steph. Perhaps a law could be made limiting women to one abortion. "Two strikes and you're out". People who have unprotected sex repeatedly and have abortions a month later don't deserve to take the easy way out. Just my opinion.

I just think this issue is going to continue to be debated. Peoples views on both sides need to be respected until some kind of compromise can be reached.

I should've stayed out in the beginning, but...

It has been going on for quite a while and for a topic so volatile, it has been going very well.

Could someone explain to me what the difference in abortion and murder is? Look at the Lacy Peterson case. Scott is being charged with TWO counts of murder, right? I know she was close to her due date, but still, the baby was unborn. How can that be murder and abortion not?

The problem with this issue is that's it doesn't leave much room fro compromise. You either believe it's murder or not. After that question it's all pretty much cut and dried for most people...

The real issue is abortion on demand. The extreme examples are a smokescreen.

Fed by the media, people feel that sex should be free of consequences.

The risk factor seems to be gone, so now people think it's just another choice, like going to the movies or something.

What an excellant post! I quoted my personal favorite lines.
