Dont be dumb like me!!

#1 Postby george_r_1961 » Sun Feb 22, 2004 2:53 pm

Last night I was delivering a pizza to a cops house in a 'safe" area. When I turned to go back to my car I saw it moving merrily down tthe street. Yes the keys were in the ignition. The moral of the story is...dont EVER EVER leave keys in the ignition not even for a second..even of u are just going to be a few feet from your car. This is costing me a lot of money and a lot of headaches

I'm sorry that you had to learn the hard way...it is easy just to think "I'll only be a minute..." and let your guard down. I hope everything works out for you! :(

Yes, I am sorry that this happened. The same thing happened to my grandfather back 2 years ago... although it was 6 a.m.

Sorry to hear about this George. These people are more than "rude."

Great advice, indeed. I don't have to worry about this, because I don't and most likely will never drive an automobile.

One morning I heard a thud that woke me up about 4:30 am and I told my hubby someone is breaking in. He just turned over and went back to sleep. Well later in the day we found broken turn signal glass from a vehicle under the window of our bedroom(bedroom faces the street). A neighbor who delivered papers had left his van in park on a slight hill came out to find it up against the wall of our bedroom where the window was. He is lucky all it did was crack the facade. If it had crashed thru the concrete blocks it would have taken out the wall just at the end of the bed.
