The reason is simple. I'm hard on cameras. I'll cry like a baby if something happens to this one, but had I put more money into it and then dropped it in the pool...well, the psych bill at $90 a trip would just add to my woes!

This does a nice job though. Shows all the well-earned wrinkles and flaws on Poppysky from 165 feet away!

so Emma was shot on a Sony... was it a cybershot? as far as reference images for portraits obtained over the net, yours was by far the best i have ever recieved. having a quality reference photo makes all the difference for me when rendering in pencil. p

Makes me drool thinking about it. Currently I have a Sony Mavica 3.1 megapixel.

Well, I didn't get the canon, but I did get an SLR digital. An Olympus E10. Awesome camera. I read the reviews on alot of the cameras and for the price that I got this for, I couldn't pass it up.

Coincidentally, the reviews I was reading was from the same site that Pawlee posted.

We have an Epson Photo R300 and we are still trying to get the pictures to where we like them more. They just don't seem to be as clear as we would expect. Any suggestions, besides continuing to read the directions and tinkering?

I have a Nikon coolpix2000-2 megapixels and 3x zoom with movie mode(no sound). I am quite happy with it, but I would like to upgrade about two levels.
