I am soooooooo fussy about wrapping.I spend oodles of time on just one gift, it drives my husband batty. I ususally get solid color wrapping paper for the kids and a roll or two of fancy foil for the adults.I wrap all my gifts first, plop on the name tags(forgot to do that one year and had to reopen everything cuz I forgot what I wrapped!!).Once I'm all wrapped usually the day before Christmas I start with the bows and ribbons and fancy do-dads.I love to fuss!! I don't let my husband wrap.....LOL...donna he wraps like you do towards the end....brown bags and duct tape!!
blessings, Raine

For the most part, roll stock, scotch tape, and ribbons from last year's packages. They look nice under the tree, and if you don't look too close, they can provide a raised eyebrow or two about what might be inside.
I still do an "Open Me Last" gift for each one in the family. Something special or unique or something "that lives after the holidays like tickets to a game, a play, or even a trip." The "Open Me Last" gifts are usually specially wrapped and clearly marked. All kinds of devious shaped boxes are used to avoid detection.
In my early courtship years, I would take an hour to wrap a gift for my pretty lady. I still do that occasionally, but now that the fish has been swimming in the same tank for almost 33 years, the bait is not as important as the warm slippers inside the package.
