I saw the story too. She's either very accident prone or a system cheater

Most news stations would figure there wasn't any reason to investigate the story. A news story like this could easily be legitiment.

John, I didn't see the investigative report Local6/WKMG-TV, Orlando, FL did on this local story in our viewing area.

i strongly disagree. thats the problem with "news" now. they are too lazy to go out and verify anything. they dont want to do the legwork. basically, what news is now is simply the major outlets reading a release off the news wires. kudos to this station for doing their job

I'm a bit skeptical of almost all back/neck claims. Everyone knows that's the way to go to file a lawsuit. It's truly sad what people will do for money. The "incident" happened at my local wal-mart. Can't believe it was an international story!

I saw this in the paper this morning.

Perhaps she did have a seizure and pass out, but the people shouldn't have trampled her. Maybe it's a case of crying wolf one too many times, but I do become VERY skeptical of people when they seem to constantly have accidents. I'm glad that the news reported this also.

Helen, we do agree with each other. I meant that not every news story deserves an investigation. It isn't always relevant for one.

Sorry for the confusion.
