So true.

I don't need anyone, leader or otherwise, to tell me it's racist. I can see for myself. If it includes characters named "Martin Luthor King" and "Malcum X," it's obviously targeted to be especially offensive to blacks, as well as to the rest of us.

When my mom and some of my friends saw that, they were like "No thank you, I do not want to buy THAT game".

Neither do I.

I saw a story on tv about "Ghettopoly", and in all honesty, the game is revolting to me (and I'm a white, conservative southern man).

I can just imagine the outrage and hurt I'd feel if some insensitive jerk created "Redneckopoly" or "Hillbillyopoly" (my mom is from the northeast Tennessee hills). The proposed CBS reality show "Real Beverly Hillbillies" in which they reportedly were trying to "recruit" real poverty-stricken families from Appalachia to relocate to a Beverly Hills mansion....to be ridiculed and laughed at by a nationwide television audience really angered me :grrr: :grrr:

I don't believe in political correctness....but I also don't believe in making fun of others because of where they come from, or where they live.

Just .02 cents worth from a proud southerner who's been ridiculed and called names such as "inbred hick", "redneck", "illiterate", and "racist" simply because I was born in Georgia....because I live in the south.

"The Real Beverly Hillbillies"? Oh boy, another pointless reality show.
