OMG Jackie! That is such a sad story! Your poor brother must've felt awful too!
Linda - WHAT are we going to do with you!!!!
Dennis - I'm sorry to hear about your hunting buddy. It is so difficult to watch one of our furry children on the decline, knowing that that day is now sooner rather than later. You wish that you can do more to help them. Just enjoy the time you have with him, and let him know how much you love them.

Yup....Ossa, our Chocolate Lab is going downhill rather fast. We've taken her to the vet, he prescribed Remadol, it helps some but the arth. is getting worse with each passing day......I know one day and very soon, I have to make the choice and believe me, I wish she would just lie down and go to sleep. I had to put one dog down, my first dog, the year I got home from the Navy, I will "NEVER" forget the look in her eyes when I left her to be put down, those big, brown eyes told me it was OK.....she was ready.........

Strange that this should come up now...I was watching a movie, where a man had to take his elderly Irish setter, "Debbie" to be put to sleep; she was arthritic, lost bladder control and had to be carried around...and I was teary-eyed, thinking that's just how I'd be if I lost my Annabelle (she be a ho')...
