HOUMA, La. (Court TV) — A pair of apparently bogus cops is accused of trying to profit from a couple's restroom rendezvous.
Tyson James Farkas, 22 and Tina Marie Robichaux, 28, each were charged with extortion and impersonating an officer after they threatened to jail a couple they caught having sex in the women's bathroom of restaurant called Boudreau and Thibodeau's Cajun Cookin'.
The two allegedly told the ladies' room love birds that they would be jailbirds unless they handed over $100. The couple's names have not been released and they were not charged.
According to police, a customer at the restaurant reportedly told the management after discovering the restaurant romp. The management promptly asked the restroom romantics to leave the premises and called the sheriff's department.
Farkas and Robichaux, who had also been customers in the restaurant, then allegedly identified themselves as police officers and demanded $100 from the couple. The man reportedly gave Farkas and Robichaux $20 cash and a check for $80 before police arrived.
Robichaux was reportedly carrying business cards identifying her as the owner of Li'l Dog Bail Bond Co. She also was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance after police allegedly found another person's prescription drugs in her possession.
Robichaux was released from Terrebonne Parish jail on $5,000 bond while Farkas was released on $3,000 bond. They are scheduled to be arraigned on Oct. 28.
