Hi all. This is just a reminder to keep sending those care packages over to Iraq! I have a nephew-in-law serving there until at least next February. He's thanked me many times for the packages we've sent. And admitted his own mother hasn't sent as many as I have. Now that just hurt me deeply to read that. Not that anyone here would ignore their own son or daughter serving overseas right now. My point is this: we have to continue supporting our soldiers still serving. Many items are greatly needed. The ones Kris asked for were: baby wipes, deordorant, toothpaste, instant tea mix, stationery/envelopes, pens, white athletic sox (really good absorbant ones), magazines, pop tarts, pringles, etc. If I think of more items, I'll post them.
Last Spring schools, churches and stores had bins collecting items. Supply lists came home with my girls in their backpacks. It seemed everyone was sending packages overseas. Now you just don't hear of groups doing it as much as then. All I'm suggesting is this: we can't let up.
If you can't send a package, a letter would be greatly appreciated. So please go out and support a soldier you know or your church knows.
Thanks for reading! Oh, no need to reply to this topic. However, if you know of a very good item to send over, please post it.
Support our troops!
