My daughter had an interview with a middle school on the 7th, got the call on the 10th that she was hired and started work on the 12th. No time to get her classroom ready or anything. But at least she has a job. The only thing is now she's coming home with headaches thanks to the mold in the school.

I am glad that your daughter got the job, but the mold issue is not good for her. The school system has a good reason to have a health inspection for mold and deal with it in a timely manner.

Our kids started on August 5th. I remember starting back to school after Labor Day in the 1970's - of course, we'd probably forgotten a lot more of what we'd learned from the year before!

This Monday is when my girls start back. My twins are starting Jr. High so its a big year for them and they are nervous nellys right now. :P Its the same Jr. High I went to but they just tore down a lot and rebuilt over the last year so they get to start in the new 6th grade wing. I think Im just as freaked out as they are about it I think. 8-)

Time to start going to sleep early and waking early again, *sigh*

School starts Mondy here in Polk County, OTown. I go back to wrk Mon as a school crossing guard. My crossing station is right behind my house, less than 500 yards away. I will be waiting for my first paycheck of the season. Getting paid again can't happen too soon for me!

Yep the 24th here too.....I can't believe my daughter is going in the 4th grade!! :eek:
