When plans go awry
Well today was my wife's birthday. She's 25 and holding.
So I made plans for dinner and a sunset sail on a large catameran that runs down in on the Beufort waterfront. She enjoys sailing so I knew she would love this. We went to Outback, her choice, and had a nice dinner. Then we went down to the waterfront. We got there 45 minutes early and decided to walk around. Nice area if you have never been there. When we went to pay, the lady at the stand said that the captain went to have a look at the radar and would be back shortly. When he showed up the horizon had just started turning black. he had to cancel the trip, said a squall line was moving in. Within 5 minutes, the dark clouds moved from the horizen to overhead.
I wish I had had my camera. We just made it back to the car when the first drops started to fall. I promised her we would try again another day. It had been 14 days since we last had any rain. My wife said that it always rains on her birthday so she was not surprised.
