My new baby girl!

#1 Postby azsnowman » Tue Jul 10, 2007 1:06 pm

I should TRULY have my head examined!! :ggreen: Here she is, "Stella"...the newest addition to the "Muttley Crew!"

She was bought from a fantastic breeder in Snowflake Az. by 2 teenagers on 3 July...they took her home, the dad threw a FIT, made the kids take her to the shelter (now bear in mind the kids paid $800 for this puppy, papered and ALL!) and the girls at the shelter called us. Michelle went out and the Humane Society DONATED this puppy to us for our SAR Unit!

Say hi to Stella!

Stella's adorable and in a good, forever home huh?

Maybe you can offer visitation rights to the two teenagers though - their hearts were in the right place, they just didn't ask for permission is all. And you might get some volunteer work out of them too - you never know.

I am glad to hear she wasn't abused or anything. I was expecting a sad story! Good thing the shelter called Michelle though.

How's she getting along with your other dogs?

It is a sad story Mary...those teens are out of $800!!!! I mean, wouldn't you at least CHECK with mom and dad before forking out THAT kind of money? Geeesh! Good for us though :ggreen:

She gets along GREAT with everyone, I swear, she's a older dog in a puppy suit! We have her heeling on a leash, sitting, sit and stay, laying down on command. We start Stella next week on "bite training!" We want a personal protection dog and Stella has the drive, the aggression already!

Otown...we have a choc. lab, a white lab, a black flat coat retreiver and now Stella, we are an "Equal Opportunity Employer" (SAR Unit!) :ggreen:

She's precious!

We tried a lab before but it didn't work out. We were used to medium size dogs and lili passed the medium stage rather quickly! We found a home for her with 2 other labs. She fit in beautifully.

Love the new recruit! Reminds me of the dog we had to give up after Grandson Kaleb was bitten by her after he terrorized the dog.

HOW ADORABLE!!!!

She looks like she'll lick you to death!

I'll bet that the older ones will be like doting parents to Stella. She's found a great home!

She is precious :D :D

If you can get a hold of the teens... maybe you can have them work with you and Stella... since they were out $800.

That's great! Yeah, labs are great dogs but VERY, VERY needy...they need almost CONSTANT attention...if not they turn into DEVIL dogs

Ed...sure they can help you! A lick here and a lick there and there it is, your sanity! :ggreen:
