Now THATS a Gator

#1 Postby Shelby6977 » Wed Jun 20, 2007 1:54 pm

This guy was in our shop area at Kennedy Space Center a few weeks back. Can you imagine strolling down the hall to go to the bathroom and finding THIS??? This is about a 9-10 foot Gator at the KSC Power Shop.......

My guys had one trapper out here that refused to try to get him by himself. They had to call in a more experienced trapper to help and almost had to Hot Stick him. He was a VERY angry Gator. I am sure he was destroued but they do try to relocate.

We had a 6' American crocodile spotted on Sugarloaf Key the other day. Pretty cool as they are few and far between.

You could just call the police and they'll get somebody to get rid of it. I've seen that a few times on Cops.

It made the local news. KSC is on a wild life rufuge so they have to be trapped and disposed of. I dont know what he was looking for but thats not the 1st time we have had one in our bay. The last one was only about 4 Ft. Amazing place to work, we see just about everything. I saw an Otter for the 1st time not long ago!! You dont see them on a regular basis. It's PRETTY cool!!! I also have a picture of another one by a large Ice Maker on the Air Force Side, I will try and post it tomorrow.

Wowzers, hes huge! KSC property is pretty big and all still pretty wild, I was looking at all the land on Google earth a few weeks ago.

Otters are so cool to watch. We saw one in a waterfront restaurant, in town, no less. We were eating by the waters edge and watched him play almost the whole time, hubby was so excited because like you said you don't see them often. Also have seen a few at Rock Springs. They are so cute but can give you one mean bite. :D

Papas got a brand new bag.

I used to work the The Everglades. That is a good sized gator. Best left to the profesionals.

I guess what if I were to suddenly have one in front of me- do you stand still, run like double hel or what? Seriously guys. Seeing him in that hall way like that I'd just like to be prepared for the unexpected.

few years ago a 20 foot Salt Water croc was shown by television cameras in the waters at South Beach

That is very efficient at clearing a beach

The man is nuts! I hope he has a weapon readily available. Though how ready could it be on all 4's?? I can't wait to watch it.
