The Watch Mystery

Here's a fun news item.

President Bush had his watch stolen while he was in Albania and the story told by White House spokesperson Tony Snow that
Bush put his watch in his pocket doesn't seem correct.

It is clear from the video that his watch was stolen right off his hand. He never reached into his pocket.

TONY SNOW DENIES: 'No, it was not [stolen]. It was placed in his pocket, and I believe your network has actually looked through the tape carefully and has ascertained the same. But, no, the President put it in his pocket, and it returned safely home.'

when watching it it almost looks like it dropped off and he looks down when it happened. Bet then a SS probably picked it up for him.
Just my opinion.

MSNBC has been showing video from a camera behind him. He can clearly be seen removing it. I do think, though, that just prior to that, someone had tried to take it off. Which would explain why he removed it.
