WELL....we knew it was only a matter of time, we have 3 wildfires just within the past hour, the cause? The WIND :x

We have winds gusting to OVER 69 MPH here at the city offices and this is causing powerlines to go down, sparking and starting these fires...this is NOT good folks as all 3 fires are SOUTH of town and the winds are pushing the fires towards us!! A prayer on our behalf would be GREATLY APPRECIATED and muchly needed! I'll post more when I can!!

Thanks for the prayers....

Now, we have more lines down in the country club areas (4) and these lines have sparked more fires! I am SURE glad I'm in law enforement and not a fire fighter, those poor guys and gals are running their ever loving butts off today going from fire to fire! So far they've done a FANTASTIC job of knocking these flames down BUT if this wind keeps up like this, they are going to have lines go down in a remote area and not be so lucky!

Gotta give them firefighters a HUGE KUDO for their lightning fast response! All 4 fires were contained to less than 1 acre by their endless efforts...just hope no more pop up, the wind's still kickin up to 60+ mph!
