New to Lost
My wife and I just got a gift... the complete seasons 1 and 2 on dvd.
Neither of us have ever seen a single episode. Wow... we just
watched the 8th episode last night.
Things we are wondering about.
What are the polar bears doing on the island?
How did they get there?
What is that big thing that knocks down the trees...
Is Jacks dad a actual ghoast?
Why hasn't anyone started eating and drinking coconuts?
I saw the other thread here but I can't read it untill we have
caught up to current.

Welcome to land of questions!!! lol.
You will get alot of answers over the course, but it always leads to more questions.
All the questions you asked above have been answered but now we are asking all sorts of new things.
Don't read that thread it will just ruin it for you. Suspense and all those questions is the foundation for LOST.
Enjoy, and keep us updated where you are. Its kinda exciting having a new Lostie.
Its my favirote t.v. drama to date.

I would answer a few of your questions, but that's one of the ummm, beauties of LOST. You have to wait for the answers.
That's one of the things that makes it so intriguing (and frustrating!). lol
You will get some answers as you go along, but you will get a lot more questions as well.
You will eventually find out how the polar bears got there. You will learn more about that big thing that knocks down the trees and whether Jack's dad is an actual ghost, but at the end of season 3, I still can't answer those as definitively as I'd like.

Check out http://www.lostpedia.com. It will be extremely helpful and can give detail background info on each episode as you and your wife catch up to Season 3.

I am kinda jealous that you can sit down and watch 3 episodes at a time.
It seems like an eterinity for us to find out some things, ecspecially when they kept going on hiatis for months at a time.
After the finale I am going to be going through withdraws. I may just buy the dvds to have because they are so good, and I can watch it from the beginning all over again throughout the summer. Im sure there are subtel things I missed.

well... we have only viewed 10 episodes... still plenty to go. I figure by the time
we finsh the first 2 seasons the 3rd season will be on DVD.
We watched the 9th and 10th last night... Siad was captured by the crazy woman...
Where does that cable he found on the beach come from?
There is a person in the group that wasn't on the plane... What the hell is he up too?

If the last few years are any indication, Season 3 won't be on DVD until shortly before Season 4 starts. I have no idea why they do that, because it would benefit them to let people buy it (or rent it) in plenty of time before the new season starts, then be caught up so they can watch the new season in prime time. Hopefully, they won't do that this year and it will come out earlier.

Well... Claire is still missing. Charlie is still pretty upset about
the whole deal. He hasn't said anything about what happened.
Lock was out looking for her at night and stumbled onto a metal
floor or something... We still don't know what it is. He's headed
back up there with a shovel tonight... I think.
My partner at work is an avid lostie and said last nights season
finale was the best thing ever broadcast on television... ever.

SG can't they download Season Three episodes even if you can't buy them in a set? I knew that you did that for while you were out with Rita or something like that....this makes me want to go buy the set and sit down and watch from the beginning like O Town said...I know there was stuff I missed. Does anyone remember the web site to visit? Does it still work, where you put the numbers in and stuff like that? I have had to reformat my machine so I lost all that good stuff.
