When Will Chris And Channon's Story Be Told?

I had not heard of this either. Wow, how awful it was just reading it, I don't even want to wrap my mind around what these two people went through. My personal opinion is that it wasn't given much attention because of the races of the victims vs. the criminals. If this were reversed, it would have national attention.

My sentiments too. The media is too New York/Los Angeles/DC oriented.

Here is a link to the charges against the men accused of this crime. I don't understand how a carjacking escalated to this brutality.

I have not spent much time researching this story.
Who was the witness that gave the detailed account of the atrocity?
If the information was gathered by the police from the perpetrators it is evidence for their trial.
Sometimes the media holds back on a story that is based purely on police evidence.
You have to be careful lawyers will argue that the testimony was coerced in such a situation.

I'm not positive but I believe someone cut a deal with the prosecutors in addition to the autopsy results.

Well, I think we can all make excuses of why this was never heard about, but in the back of our minds, we all know what the media outcry would be if this was white on black murders instead. It's a shame that our media is so scared to tick someone off but will jump at the chance of have a top story that would involve Jackson and Sharpton.

Nonsense! In general there's more attention to crimes with white victims than black ones.
The real issue is that there's a herd mentality to the media - one or two of the cable news channels go massive on a story and the rest of the herd mindlessly follows (for fear of being left out of the feeding frenzy). And the choice of what stories get attention and which are ignored is not a racial matter or a matter of how horrific the crime is, but usually one of somebody agressively pushing the story at those cable news channels. Now it happens that there are some black "leaders" like Sharpton who are very effective at doing that (complete with racial perspective) but it could just as well be (and often is) some relative of a victim, or some self-promoting white "leader" like the prosecutor in the Duke case.
In general, today's news media is lazy and it's addicted to sensational stories, so is susceptible to having stories fed to them. But that's just laziness and incompetence, not racial bias.
